Please read our policy carefully regarding returns and refunds, especially concerning perishable food items.
1. Quality Guarantee and Eligibility for Refund
We guarantee that our products leave our facility fresh, correctly packaged, and in the best possible condition.
Eligibility for a Refund:
Refunds or replacements are offered only under the following circumstances:
- Damaged Product: The product arrived severely damaged or completely broken (e.g., pickle jar shattered, snack pouch completely ripped). Proof of damage is mandatory (see Section 3).
- Wrong Product Shipped: You received a different item than what you ordered (e.g., received a snack when you ordered a pickle).
- Expiry/Quality Issue: The product arrived with an expired date or a provable quality issue (e.g., mold, severe staleness upon immediate opening).
Ineligibility for a Refund/Return:
Due to the perishable nature of our homemade food products, we DO NOT accept returns or offer refunds/replacements for the following reasons:
- Change of Mind: You no longer want the product after the order has been shipped.
- Taste/Preference: You do not like the flavor, texture, or level of spice. (We recommend trying smaller quantities first if you are new to traditional Mithila flavors.)
- Delayed Delivery: Delays caused by the shipping carrier or unforeseen external circumstances (e.g., bad weather, public holiday) once the package has left our premises.
- Incorrect Address: The order was delivered to the wrong address provided by the customer.
2. No Returns Accepted (Perishable Goods)
As a seller of homemade food items, we adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards. We DO NOT accept physical returns of any opened or unopened food products once they have been delivered to you.
If you are eligible for a refund or replacement based on Section 1, we will process the refund or ship a replacement without requiring you to return the original item.
3. How to Request a Refund or Replacement
You must initiate a claim within 48 hours of receiving your delivery (based on the tracking number timestamp).
To submit a claim, please follow these steps:

- Provide Order Details: Include your Order Number and the name of the damaged/incorrect item.
- Provide Photographic Evidence (MANDATORY): Attach clear, high-resolution photographs or a short video showing the following:
- The original shipping box and label.
- The damaged packaging (e.g., shattered jar, burst pouch).
- A close-up of the product defect (e.g., mold, product difference).
Upon receipt and verification of your claim and evidence, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund/replacement.
4. Refund Processing
If your refund is approved:
- Refund Method: The refund will be processed and applied to your original method of payment (credit card, debit card, UPI, etc.) within 7 business days.
- Processing Time: The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
5. Order Cancellation
- Cancellation Window: You may cancel your order for a full refund if the cancellation request is made before the order has been processed and shipped.
- Shipped Orders: Once the order status is “Shipped” or “Out for Delivery,” we are unable to cancel the order, and the standard refund policy applies (no refund for change of mind).
